Of Thorns and Roses

When the river floods Vidya's village, she is at the Devis temple. Scared of things she barely understood, she prays for life, wealth and worldly pleasures. Her prayers are answered, but not in any way she could've expected. She is caged in a bubble of life where she loses all she loved. Betrayed by her own mother, Vidya's innocence is exploited and she is unable to trust even those who love her the most. She cannot leave her past behind, try as she might to move forward. Finally finding the courage to face the ghosts of her past, she goes back to the place where her life went from idyllic to nightmarish, only to discover that what she'd believed for most of her life was far from the truth. An intensely moving story of desires, love, hatred, resentment, illusions and distrust with twists and turns that keep the readers engrossed. The protagonists struggle to gain control over her destiny will become the readers own.
