Soon after, though, Cindy finds the road she is on inevitably leads to greed, eroding ethics, and ultimately murder. Careless People is a cautionary tale of misplaced trust and priorities. It is a story of characters longing for simpler times, but they find it is hard to hold on to the past while reaching for the future.
